Are you tired of wasting so much on buying ink for your printer?
Refilling your own cartridge is cheap and easy! A tub of ink will refill many cartridges, so ink refilling is a great deal. I have never had any problems and i have been refilling my hp photo-smart for a while now! The quality of the ink is the same as the original.

In this video I try to show you how to refill your black ink cartridge in minutes. You can use which ever ink you prefer. I am using a universal kit I got from Amazon which works great.

Please be aware that when you refill your ink, the printer will not give you credit (it will say the ink is low/empty) but it will still keep on printing. If this is a concern for you, then I don't recommend you do this. I do it anyway because it is cheap and easy and I have never had any problems with it.

  • THanks so much for the video. Very good instructions

  • @MrNothingButAir You are welcome :)

  • that's a really quick reply, thank you. I will try that. where can i buy a cartridge clip like your?

I live in San Francisco? Do you sell them on your website ?

  • @garywithairp I dont have a website. I just did this video because I was bored and I had just learned how to refill cartridges. And OMG i live near from San Francisco here in California! Anyways, I got my clip from Amazon. It came in a kit with black ink for around $11. If you are interested, just go to the amazon page and search "InkTec Refill Kit for HP 60 and 60XL Black Ink Cartridges".

  • i refill the ink, but it keeps leaking at the bottom, what should i do?Should I just let the sponge to absorb and it will fix by itself? I see other videos, they suck out the "extra air" to make it vacuum.

    what should I really do?

  • @garywithairp Try wiping the leaked ink with a paper towel and put the cartridge in the printer right away and print a test page. This worked for me one time when I had a cartridge that was leaking after I put too much ink. I really hope it works out or you :)

  • @glamified92 thank you so much. wow we almost neighbor, but your bordem saves my cartridge. thx

  • @thatpat1 when the print begins to come out faded/gray, then you know it is time for refill. Being a student, I print things almost daily and refill the black cartridge abut 1-2 month, and the color about every two months.

And no, you do not need the clip I used. If you do not have it, just let the refilled cartridge sit facing down for about 1/2 an hour so that the sponge absorves the ink all the way down. The clip is used to make the process faster, but you really do not need it. :)

  • Without the machine to indicate when the ink is low, how do you estimate when to do the next refill?

I would like to see you make a video on how to refill the color cartridge.

Just to clarify, when you suck the air out the bottom, no needle is used on the syringe but does the syringe screw onto the bottom of the cartridge before sucking out the air? (Can this still be done without the clip you used?)

  • @thatpat1 yeah :) I wasn't precise on the amounts. My syringe's numbers are completely faded so I couldn't really see. But hopefully you get the idea. I just add ink until it begins to leak a bit from the top, and then suck out a little bit of ink. I'm really not sure on the precise amounts, but its somewhere around 10ml like you said. :) thanks for your comment, and for watching my video :) I will look at the instructions and post exact amounts in the annotations to this video. :)
