WOW very nice tone & playing!!!!

Could be the p90's. Sometimes, if a P90 is over wound it can be very muddy. I had a Rio Grande Jazz bar in a Gibson 135 for a while, but it was really muddy.. found out the Jazz Bars are really HOT. I recently put some GFS dream 90's in a cheap epiphone and they sound nice.. maybe try swappin out the pickups.

I've recently bought one but I can't seem to get a decent sound out of it. It seems very muddy and bassy. Yours sounds lovely though!! I'll experiment with the settings. Cheers for the reply.
bough the electra, I love it!!!
I'm really getting into the jazz/blues tone, and coming out of the heavy gain. Just shows you don't have to be over 20 to apreciate good music!!!

Nice one! We've all been there with the heavy gain! Check out the likes of Charlie Christian and Les Paul for great bluesy/jazzy playing. Good luck with the Electra.

Thanks for listening! Do you have a Songbird too? Can't remember all the settings but I do remember: I used the neck pickup and the clean channel of the Cube 30. (I don't tend to use the amp simulations.) I usually have to wind the bass down on the amp, as the pickups are rather bassy. Mid and treble are usually near flat. I'm using D'Addario Chrome flatwounds - 12 or 13 gauge. That makes a big difference!
