The Hong Kong government says it is currently dealing with around 6 800 asylum seeking cases. Last Friday, more than six hundred asylum seekers protested at Kowloon Park, calling on the government to speed up the examination of their cases. Many say theyve been in Hong Kong for more than five years. For asylum seekers and political refugees who come to Hong Kong, the hope is that it will be a way-station on the path to a better life. Many have been stranded here a little longer than they had hoped.
But the problem is HK its own problems internally and HK does not involve in much of other countries things. It's hard.

The lady who mentioned that people who left their home countries to seek asylum might have gone through a lot of physical, emotional torture. Not only it is HK gov't to take responsibility on proactively setup a special action party on improving their social welfare system, refugee policy and to gradually help them either move to another country, or have a normal basic life as a immigrant citizen and work in Hong Kong with the general society.
