How does the work locomotive at the front couple up to the subway car with those types of couplers?

it's not rare.

They could convert the R32 into a rider car, but they use IRT cars as riders.

Cool. I've seen 3 trains. One on the 4th Ave. line, one on the Broadway Line and one on the Flushing Line.

Why wasnt the work train attached to an R32 when passing the Ocean Parkway Q station? Do they ever attach R32s to work trains when going down the Ocean Parkway Q station ?
