#monthinacar 'Introducing Tanner'

We found our guy! After an awesome response to our month-long casting call, and several rounds of rigorous interviews later, we finally selected the person who will be spending a month in a car. Watch this video and follow his journey at facebook.com/monthinacar and @monthinacar

But why spend a month in a car anyway? Well, Toronto has one of the worst commute times in the world. At an average of 80 minutes per day, that's an entire month every year!

So the #monthinacar campaign, which launches on June 26, aims to highlight Toronto's urban transportation issues, while promoting the MOVE Expo opening June 30th at Evergreen Brick Works.

In order to apply for the job candidates were asked to create a minute-long video and a 250-word written submission.

Tanner, our winner, will earn $1,000 a week plus a daily per diem and will spend night and day in the car, eating and sleeping, for 4 weeks straight—aside from necessary breaks. He'll be interviewing industry experts for a Passenger Seat web video series, making media appearances, conducting public opinion polls and interacting with his fans through social media.
