Fiat currencies are debt and the national debt is like a giant ponzi scam that's just waiting to collapse!

Lots to say on associated issues, but, as is seemingly always the case, I struggle with cogently representing my thoughts. I may do a youtube video on the matter, or, shall revisit it (hopefully soon) in text, perhaps via a long pm. As always, I appreciate your words and participation, even though I'm right about everything!

  • “as what it, in part, MEANS for something to be good, is that one ought to align themselves with it”

No, that is only IF someone wants to be “good”. It is not intrinsic that someone has to align with the good for that thing to be the good. Prescriptively is always in the form of an “if” as we cannot get from an “is” to an “ought”. It is the ethic that is prescribed, IF one is concerned with being ethical.

    (END 6)

  • “Absent free will, there is no exception for human beings.”

Yes, there is. Humans understand the implications of what they do, and the action, many times, is based on that very understanding. An important distinction between them and black holes/bees. It matters not that they were both causal (or even acausal as I am a hard incompatibilist, not a hard determinist). Free will is not a requirement of actions happening due to complex thoughts and understandings.

  • “but they are just doing what black holes and bees do....ethical/unethical behavior doesn't fit into the equation”

I agree with you, for black holes and bees that do not consciously understand the implications of what they do before they do it.
