  • "People like Illegal Player drive me nuts because there's no person or personality there its more like a bot that a person."

to me that is ANTImormonism in a nut shell.

I think it is funny. Especially when ilegalplayer quotes things but then puts in and takes out extra words from the quotes.

Obviously if he had an honest point to make he wouldn't do that.

  • People with questions or who want to seriously engage in discussion wil always be welcome, but to me an anti is someone who refuses to engage in civil discourse, and is solely interested in justifying thier own blind hatred. They are a waste of time and space, lol.

  • Lol watch my duck hunting video. He's also very talented.

  • The keene minds we attracted in the old days grew up in a racist era, and they were pontificating on religious explanations for why things were the way they were. Thier opinions were byproducts of thier society, nit a faulty doctrine, but you are right, outsiders don't get that because they don't study thier own history....

  • By ignoring thier own history and clinging to only tid bits of ours detractors think they can develop a weapon against us and lead us away from the church, but too many of us are deep thnkers and who study history deeply and passionately. Racism and polygamy have occured in al religions at some point or another. Its just time people get over it.

  • "Yes, he's less than a year old and he's a lab/Alaskan malamute mix. "

that is a nice mix. I am envious.

  • My experience is that our faith is quite attractve to deep thinkers. That deep thinking can get people into trouble when people start preaching thier opinions as gospel though, which is how racist commentaries surfaced in the old days. Racism isn't a part of our doctrine, but that hasn't stopped racist ideas from surfacing. However, some detractors like to pretend Mormons are the only ones. We're not. Other contemporary churches were way worse.

  • Interesting. Well I am not on eto deny the Free Mason connection to Mormonism, Freemasons gave us our beautiful Constitution, so they can't be all that bad if the likes of Washington, Franklin, and Jefferson were amung thier number. However, the meaning of temple tokens is entirely different than the same token in a freemason ritual, and the similarities are only surface similarities, there are some deepdifferences there too, but a conection nontheless.

  • Politics has always played an important role with the LDS church.

Google Monson Bush handshake and you will see them performing one of the temple tokens.

    Powerful friends in politics.
