http://on.fb.me/newmessagemediachalk - Kiai Kim was so inspired by the protests at Zuccotti Park, aka Liberty Plaza at #occupywallst that she wrote on the sidewalk in her neighborhood, writing, "We are the 99 percent", "we are the 99%". Here's what happened...

  • thanks for the feedback from all the thoughtful people on here, and thanks to those who didn't/can't think that much too! Remember, whenever something goes outside your comfort zone, yell, scream and troll! With luck, you just may feel less alone, someday!

  • The funny thing about the paper on the refrigerator is that it's an article about trashing the refrigerator. I've thought about having just a freezer and a cooler because refrigerators are so inefficient. Might do that if/when that fridge breaks. Oh, and to the left is a little girl in Honduras who has been my pen pal for 3 years. She's 12 now. :)

  • @mistyken Hehe. It washed away in the rain 3 days later or so.

  • @jfan2000jfan I bicycled over the Brooklyn Bridge to attend the protest. The park I talked about with the chalk is in Brooklyn. I'm actually in a lot of debt, because I got sick from the World Trade Center dust from 9-11 and lost my job. I borrowed from credit cards, sold my stocks, cashed in my whole life insurance, and worked part time bartending to get by. Got a second mortgage which covered the credit cards and the renovations. Losing my life insurance was a big blow.

  • @moosemps Thank you!

  • @vmmscertpro Unfortunately, there were some bad incidents there, but most of the protests were actually calm and civilized. Most occupiers were jobless, students, and senior citizens. Anarchists, atheists and Communists were actually a minority, not even 10%.
