大地回春-黄晓君 Spring Returns -HuangXiaoJun

This is one of my favourite Chinese New Year songs,大地回春, meaning Spring Returns to the Great Land. This version is sung by Huang Xiao Jun who was then with Happy Records.
黄晓君was in the entertainment industry in Malaysia in the early seventies, while she was still in high school. She was a very successful singer in her own right even when Teresa Teng won the hearts of many. She was the main and only singer in Happy Records. Life Records had a stable of successful singers, including Teresa. When Teresa joined Polydor in Japan, Life Records successfully wooed and won Huang over to their company. Huang's singing career then reached new heights.
