Me again! Do the decorative stitches on the inner seams HAVE to extend to the edge or can you start & stop on the inner seams? Do you just break thread since you don't back stitch? They don't unravel before you have a chance to secure them with the next seam of stitches? thanks!

@a1angiem Hi Angie, we do "short seams" all the time - you don't have to sew to the edge. The trick to securing the seams is to sew a little teeny tiny bit longer than the actual seam, so that the stitches from one seam hit/sew over the stitches on the other seams. If you don't want to do this, bring up your bobbin thread and tie off the ends of the threads before beginning your line of decorative stitching and at the ends. Hmmmm, this might require a video response - let me know, okay?

I am trying to figure out how you place your sashing on, how it gets together on back side and front side you have to fold over to sew.. Do you have a video of you putting the sashing on for both sides.

@CrazyShortcutQuilts Starting the stitching now. I understand what you suggest & will try the first one & see (I've not used these slippery threads before - beautiful for rascally!) I'm sure a vid would be great for the future crazy quilters! Also worried about getting the decorative stitch lined up on the seam - some start left, some right, etc.

I have to the book too and even with it my brain is smoking trying to figure out how to the sashing - especially the back . I just want to put my vote in for a little video on how to do this. I'm at the sashing point on the first quilt I'm working on in this book. Hope I can muttle through to finish it.

Also, the quilt featured in this video - did you make a video on how to do it, I don't see it anywhere.

I have the book but would love to see a video of how you are attaching the blocks together using the back sashing. It is somewhat confusing. I understand the rows will be attached the same way, so I really want to make sure I understand the correct way to do this. Could you please post a video that shows how you attach the second block to the first block using the back sashing?
