This screencast is a technology preview showing the possibility to create a Diskless Shared Root Cluster (DSRC) with Suse Linux Enterprise Server 10 SP2 (SLES10SP2), Oracle Cluster Filesystem 2 (OCFS) and the latest release of the GPL'ed Open-Sharedroot project.
A Diskless Shared-root Cluster is a way to easily managed several machines at the same time. Instead of each having its own operating system (OS) on its local disk, there is only one image of the OS available on a server, and all the nodes use the same image. (SSI cluster = single-system image)
Within the initial ramdisk a cluster is formed. The actual Linux root resides on the clustered filesystem OCFS2.
