Belly Dancing, and all the movements that go with it, are ideal for women who are "seniors". It is a very ancient folkloric dance. The movements are consistent with those of childbirth and are mostly circular and spiral. There is not a part of the body from the head to the toes which is not used. Much of the class is spent learning to use arms beautifully and gracefully. This unique dance form is one of the fastest growing weekly activities for seniors in the USA.
