  • Glik v.Cunniffe, 665 F.3d 78 (2011). Federal Court of Appeals ruling that there is a First Amendment right to videotape law enforcement in public. Should that right be violated by law enforcement, the victim video taper can bring a a civil rights action pursuant to 42 USC 1983, and law enforcement, due to constitutional violations, are not entitled to qualified immunity. Every citizen journalist should carry this cite in his/her pocket.
