  • will i be able to connect my dvd recorder to this?

  • Its pronounced AITCH not HAICH,for crying out loud.

  • @BOBBY1976100 Yes it's a 42' Panasonic Plasma, I don't recall the exact model number but is about 5 years old yes :-)

  • @mattvandam1 Thanks for that. I think my box was one of the first gen ones and it was always hit and miss. The new box looks cool and it shines! What TV do you have, BTW? It looks similar to my old Panny from about 5 years ago. I swapped it last year for the VT20 3D one.

  • @BOBBY1976100 hi mate. The only time I've had to reboot it is when I went on holiday for 2 weeks, I left it powered so I could record whilst I was away, when I came back menu navigation had become super slow, switching channels very slow, whereas normally all this is much faster than the old box. It's definitely an improvement.

  • My Sky HD box is 5 years old now and is obviously becoming a bit unstable. I phoned Sky today (before I saw this) and they offered me a 1 TB box for £149.99 plus my Sky HD subscription knocked back from £10.25 to £2.25 for a year. Didn't think that was a bad deal (it all depends if you get a 'good' one!). What I wanted to ask you is, now you've lived with a little, apart from the increased hard drive, is it a more reliable machine? Will I keep having to reboot it like I do on this old box?
