This song can both make me smile and make me cry. He is an artist who can warm the soul with just his voice alone. This is one of the best videos I have ever seen of this song. Thank you, uploader. This is truly a gift!

@sonixelectronix True, however this song can take on a unique meaning to each person who hears it. For me it is all about how I've lived my life, running one to one thing or the next, seeking freedom where none can be found. (Except, for me, it IS found in my Faith.) In the final verse, I personalize it:
"Passing on my mask
Bending to the task
I know this work is never finished
When I close my eyes
I find I am dancing
Laughing loud and undiminished."
