@jonnymoscovitch I base it on what I saw when you held up the back.... Stump wood is highly figured... curvy and wavy.... Your E Indian Rosewood.. notice the straight dark lines running from top to bottom. The grain is straight.. Also B. Rosewood that is not stump that is dark... and straight grained is extremely hard to find these days.. It would have had to have been bought prior to CITES where they protect endangered Rosewood. Illegal to export... Hope that answers your question.

Nice comparison.... too bad the Brazilian is made from stump wood... Hopefully you didn't pay too much for it. Don't like it when luthiers charge a lot for brazilian stump woods..
