well he is not a politician but a reporter. ill be honest, i really dont care what goes on in sri lanka, i just noticed any video i post on SL gets alot of hits. but dividing the island doesnt make sense. look at cyprus for example, look at ireland and what happend over there. perhaps seperate tamil provinces within S.L. is the answer, i just dont see the need for dividing it. also, why take up armed violence? why is there no tamil party in s.l. running on a platform of independence?

The Tamils first protested against Sinhalese Supremacy by peaceful means. But what they got back was violent attacks from the Sinhalee racists and at one time the Tamils decided that militancy is the only way to fight back. So the Tamils were pushed to pick up militancy and not that they always wanted to be militants.

Well, I have great respect for Mr.Cho Ramasamy ... that he is a senior journalist and a good political commentator in Tamil Nadu. But i'm also aware that he is a staunch supporter of Hinduism and the Brahmin caste. For this reason, he is not in good terms with the Dravidian movements as Dravidian movements are against Brahmin caste ideologies. So whatever the Dravidian movements support, he would be against it. Since the Dravidian movements support the LTTE ... Mr. Cho is against the LTTE.

Well if you do a little bit of research the LTTE started out peacefully for 20 years against the sinhala racists but nothing was achieved. Has muh been achieved by HIndraf in Malayisa talking demonstrating peacefully? No only a gun shows who is boss. If LTTE peacefully surrended to indian terrorist forces in 1987 woud there be a Tamil state now?

how can not dividing the island make a lot of sense? There will be only one solution break up of Sri Lanka and later destruction of sinhalese and the break up soviet indian union. south india, sri lanka should have been merged with south east asia that is real unity.
