Important points:
* Homosexuality is probably partially genetic, but not entirely
* Gay people aren't sterile and can reproduce
* Gay men can have sex with women, but we'd really rather not
* Homosexuality is not a "genetic defect"

The music is Venus, the Bringer of Peace, from Gustav Holst's The Planets, as performed by the United States Air Force Band. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/4c/Holst-_venus.ogg

No offence, but OWV has a point, we SHOULD research it, I'm not saying we should try and prevent it by all means, but if there was an epidemic and only 50million people survived globally, and say 60% were gay, wouldn't it be BETTER to have an all-straight society at least until the population grew? I'm all for equality but saying we shouldn't research what makes people gay is a bit underhand.

  • @JMurray1996 Gay people aren't sterile. I never said this wasn't an area of research worth investigating. It is. So are the causes of people being straight. But "curing" something that simply doesn't cause any impediment to a person's healthy functioning? That's as pointless as trying to cure green eyes, left-handedness or red hair. It's not something that requires a "cure".

  • @OurWhitevoices So, people being attracted to adult men and women is the same as sexual desire for children and animals. Would you compare heterosexuals to pedophiles as well?

  • To all of you listen to a comedian named steve hughes and he has something funny that even zinnia would like. It is a joke nothing else but it's very Gayfriendly joke directed at straight people.

  • Hemophilia A B C <-Pun. Hemophilia is a defect in the X-chromosome which means Men have it more often than women' It's a defect that causes the person to have little to none coagulation which means a prick on the finger takes longer than normal to heal. that instance of the word prick comes from the origin of the same word in my language sweden and it means Dot or stab or hit. Anyway there is another instance of the word Hemophilia Sexual arousing by the notion of blood.

  • Heterosexuality homosexuality and bisexuality is the triforce of sex

  • @274903 People are NOT a part of nature. Nature ends where intelligent life begins. Unintelligent life lives for survival and reproduction, intelligent life lives for what ever it chooses to. I am straight, and I will never have children, because I consider that to be pointless, and so does my mate.

  • I wish I knew you in real life :( I would want to be your best friend because you are so smart!

  • 4:30 - LMAO <3

  • if we lived in a world where gay people were the norm, and lets say they could reproduce that way for reproductions sake...

Anyways would that world have pro-gay ministries where they would try to force heterosexual people to be gay?

Just an idea...i really don't care who you love as long as you love someone, no matter what is considered "Normal".

  • @ZJemptv Um,I don't mean to be rude or anything, but are you an athiest or a Christian?Just asking.

  • @JMurray1996 I really don't understand why people so desperately want to find out what causes certain people to be gay. Who cares? The point is, we're gay and that's how it is, for whatever reason. I mean, what if someone said "We need to find out if a gene makes people prefer chocolate over vanilla, or if it is caused by outside influence!" I think the only reason someone would want to find out what makes people gay is if they wanted to know if they could stop it. And the fact is, they can't:P
