The Common Tailorbird is an elusive garden bird, often heard but difficult to see. I heard this bird singing in clumps of Yellow Cane Palm at one corner of my Condominium two days ago. I pointed my camera towards the trees and shot anyway without seeing the bird in the LCD screen.

By sheer luck the bird was captured in the video. In the 1st segment of the recording, the bird was singing together with a Spotted Dove behind me. In the 2nd segment, it was singing with a Coppersmith Barbet overhead in an African Tulip tree.

The calls, including those from the Spotted Dove and Coppersmith Barbet were probably agitated/alarm calls in response to my presence, though I am in the location everyday.
