CUC - 2011 ACAL Basketball Champions!

Congratulations to the CUC Men's Basketball team for capturing the 2010/2011 Alberta Colleges Athletic League (ACAL) Championship! The team went into the playoffs as the second seed after finishing the season with at 12-2 record. CUC defeated the Olds College Broncos in the semi-finals and setup a final game showdown versus the top seeded St. Mary's University College Lightning. The teams split the regular season meetings with one win each ensuring an exciting final. The Championship game took place Saturday night at Praire Bible College in Three Hills, Alberta. Even with the game off campus a strong contingent of CUC fans made the trip to Three Hills to cheer their team on. After a hard fought back-and-forth game the CUC Aurora Men's Basketball team came out on top with an exciting 60-57 win. The team has now won back-to-back championships after capturing the top prize during last years playoffs.
