Install PCI Audio Card

1.Unplug all devices and open the computer case
2.Make sure your hands are static free
3.Remove the case cover for one of the PCI slots by unscrewing the screw and pulling the slot cover up
4.Take your new sound card and make sure that it is not damaged in an way
5.Place the card into the slot so that the gold lines at the bottom match up with the PCI slot
6.Push until you here a click
7.Take the screw that you hade taken out and lock the card in place by screwing it in
8.Close the computer case and plug in all devices
9.Install the driver for the sound card

How do i do this on a laptop?

You can't change the sound card in a laptop. You can buy an external card that plugs into the laptops USB and/or audio connections. I see DJs using this method a lot when they are outputting audio from their laptops.

They might have a connection cord that you need to connect to the top of the new card.
