Nike Pro - Outdoor Innovation
The product
Nike Pro is a range of products targeting advanced users, using the Dri-Fit technology which transports sweat. This means that it breathes and keeps you dry. Which means that you stay cool when it's hot and warm when it's chilly.
The campaign
The outdoor units feature a custom-made box with a Nike Pro t-shirt in it. In order to illustrate the key benefit of the product, that it breathes out the sweat, we had smoke come out of the t-shirt and fill the box. And then disappear. And then get filled again.
The outdoor unit rendered enormous appreciation and created an impacting effect. From the first second it came up a lot of people reacted, some taking photos of the ad, some even having their picture taken in front of it. In short, the campaign was on fire.
I agree this is a commercial trick :)
but it's a fun one.
