good message but just a technical note that a 25W solar panel wouldn't run your fridge or a computer but it could run your radio, water filtration, other small electronics that aren't about light or heat (or give off much heat); but prices on solar cells have come way down in 3 years and most people could build these panels, or get together as groups to build them; a typical 30"x20" panel today is about 45 watts and you could string several together

If the Mayans were so smart where are they ? Ive seen everyone else coming out of Walmart , but NO Mayans. And you better move out of the land of fruits and nut to a place you can buy a gun to protect your garbage bucket full of potatoes sweety.

@skunedknuckle I hear you there:))) And many believe the mayans were astronauts that came here from another solar system to bring the calendar to alert us to the synchrnonization - and than they left and went back to their galaxy - thus the famous sudden disapperance of all the mayans - except the human children....at least that's what the scholars said to me-

@morningmayan Manard's sells a large solar panel kit for campers and RV's that would be perfect for your van. The last time I looked they were even on sale. I cant remember how much, but I think it was in the $250 range. I have a few 20w ones that I hooked together that I picked up at Harbor Freight for about $15 each. I just pick up one whenever I am there and add it to the array. It keeps my truck charged. Good luck getting away from LA, that would be my top priority.
