  • You're right, but the video is old. :) I have a newer recording of the Brahms on my channel, as well as a few more excerpts. Please feel free to comment on my newer recordings since I'm getting ready for an audition and can use the help.

  • thing long phrases. or rather, one long phrase!

  • you are really good. i also play the cello. keep it up! =]

  • Beautifully played, sir!

  • super..but ur contact point is everywhere and try working on not lifting all of your left hand fingers when playing with the 3rd finger :)

  • I love it. Your great :). I have to play this for an exam and your version was exactly what I wanted to hear!

  • i agree with PTCello, this particular part is supposed to be slurred from note to note, hence the slow tempo and fairly low volume in the part.

  • Thank you!

  • Sounds very nice, however i am not a string player, I am a clarinetist, there happens to be a very nice clarinet duet in this movement, your playing makes me fell happy and rested, this is my favorite adagio from the Brahms symphonies

  • Schott Edition ED 7853. the CD is Shcott MP 7853.

It is a superb compilation, and includes a great deal of Opera excerpts, which are not common in standard excerpt books. Good luck to you!
