That much I do remember. Even with the change, it would've been interesting.

It's a real shame no one thought to back up those recordings - not even the people that were hired to record it, I imagine? That's a damn pity.

Plus on the subject of DeKelly's voice work, he had indeed finished all his voice work for the first script, but by the time 3 producers had come and gone for VF the script had changed and De was to ill at that stage....they brought in Maurice LaMarche (Brain from Pinky and the Brain) to do the new lines for De.

One of the game dev's had a web site a few years ago, and he put up info on the game and how far it had gone and why it could never be completed........seems it was nowhere near complete, this story also came from DC Fontana, about 4% she stated...... plus internal wrangling and growing costs killed it at the end of the day...then the balifs did the rest....i doubt anybody know when wiping and selling on all interplays hardware to pay its debts know what was on any of those PC/workstations...:(

Unfortunlaty when the ballif's hit the Interplay offices they took away the Pc and work stations that held all the content of the game, including all the voice work.....and per their instructions wipe the lot and sold them to pay off interplays creditors. :(

Nothing aprt from these video clips now exist of the game so kickstart would not work here.

Where did you get that idea from? This was going to be a 3D Adventure game using prerendered animation.

It was going to be like Quake? An FPS?  Oh nevermind then. They should have just kept making games like 25th Anniversary and Judgement Rites. Those had everything you could possibly want for a ST game in that era: music, characters, and storylines in the spirit of the original series.
