"Out ta Get Me" is a song by American hard rock band Guns N' Roses released on the album Appetite for Destruction. Its lyrics focus on lead singer Axl Rose's constant trouble with the law as a youth in Indiana. Slash describes it as being written even more quickly than "Welcome to the Jungle", which means it was written in under three hours.

@iplayveryloud i feel ya on that dude, i was the same way growin up in forest, louisiana. i got in alot of trouble, but it didnt bother me, my principle convinced me to drop out by telling me that education wasnt for people like me. i was a different color with a different look in a rural louisiana high school. i quit school and went to work at the sonic burger, and partied hard up until now. i thank my principal because he, and gnr, taught me not to give a fuck UP THE IRONS FROM LOUISIANA

in high school, not many friends, no girls friends, bullied for being different wearing tight pants in a redneck cowboy school and filled with boiling eternal hated for my schools dress code policies controlling how i look at a public school on a day to day basis, they were truly nazi's. every sneaky chance i got, id hide a headphone in an ear and this album/song would get me through the school, everyday, 8th grade - till graduation.
