Amiga Misc [045] Microcosm

I tried to make a longplay of this game, but it's too hard and will take too long to complete. So I made a misc movie instead for recordedamigagames. Also, the few Microcosm clips here on youtube sucks, bad quality and jerky animations.

I chose to crop away a bit on the top and bottom so the movie would have a better screen size for youtube, otherwise the black borders would be even bigger for the video sequences.

I recorded the intro, some ingame play and some death sequences...

Edit: hmm, as the majority of the content in this clip is those small sized video sequences, I guess I could have cropped away more on all sides, but then the nice panel thingy under the ingame screen when playing wouldn't show :(... ehmm.. never mind...

It was awesome back then. Just check the ratings it got in various magazines... like 9/10, 95% etc.. :). Like I said, back then it was great, but people then want better and better games. So of course today, a game like that sucks... but back then, it didn't :).

I played this game about 17 years ago.

I'm a hopeless video game nut.

Cool stuff at the time but the actual game play was monotonous. I don't think I even completed the game.

I can't quite see how one is able to play this game when at all times you're player sprite is obscuring your shots.

At least in Star Fox, if you're stationary and facing forward your shots fire out just a little above you. And also, what's up with the game scrolling so quickly and having the walls of the vein be so wild and winding? It looks disorienting for no reason.

wow, this game look's awesome, i wish i had it back in the days, but my older brother would buy the games in those days, so i wouldn't have the chance to choose.
