This is Part 1 of a rebuttal to the NASA/JPL Deep Impact Mission that purportedly showed in May and July of 2008 that the Earth was rotating. This was recorded on April 26, 2010 in Forest City, North Carolina at the home of Creighton Lovelace, who serves as the Pastor of Danieltown Baptist Church and is a member of the Association for Biblical Astronomy (ABA). Bowden did not propose the modified Tychonian system. Furthermore, there are no tests that can prove Heliocentrism. The matter is not even taught correctly in school. Copernicus had a theory. Ptolemy had a theory. Brahe had a theory. When one tests the models some work, some don't. Both Geo and Heliocentrism work but as a Christian, the Bible speaks of Geocentricity.

@pastorcreig You're right. The next time some preacher comes to me, I am going to ask him, "Do you think the earth orbits the sun, or does the sun orbit the earth?" I'll bet that nearly all of them will say, "The earth orbits the sun. Science proved that." And then I'll say, "Well, then you believe science and not the Bible, so why should I listen to you preach from the Bible when you don't believe it yourself?" This is going to be fun.

@pastorcreig Furthermore, the so-called modified Tychonic system does not account for the requirement that Mercury,Venus, Mars and Jupiter would all demonstrate retrograde orbits, while the only planet to actually do so is Mars. Do we need to talk about the orbital speeds of the planets, which are known, and the vast variation required to fit the junk model espoused by Assoc. Biblical Astronomy?

@pastorcreig ~Kepler provided the Mathematic proofs of eliptic planetary orbits, Galileo provided to astronomical observations to support Kepler. Such evidence does not exist for a geocentric system.The binary Tychonic system, the SAME as proposed by Bowden, fails as it requires daily transits of the sun by Mercury and Venus, which have NEVER been seen by a human, because they don't happen. The revised Tychonic system is garbage.

The supposed Association for Biblical Astronomy follows an inept and erroneous model proposed by Malcolm Bowden. It converts the solar system to binary system which would produce 2 lunar eclipses everyday, 365 a yr. due to Venus and Mercury passing between Earth and the sun. This is absolute drivel and nonsense, scientifically without any validity at all!
