@AncestralFruitcake I misspoke when I said they say it out loud. I meant that when they transcribe it from japanese characters to english, the l becomes an r. (Similar to how the word Light, is Raito. Spelled Raito, said that way, but the r sound is identical to an l, which is what I meant when I said "say it out loud.")

Japanese letters aren't the same as english ones, they make different sounds and such. Besides, L and R sounds are kind of the same thing in Japanese.

@NostalgiaAttack Ruffy is the way that say it out loud, as if I remember, the l sound is different. It is not spelled out Ruffy, just said that way.
