is jupiter ace that really expensive and rare pc? if so then how and when did you get one?

They only made 8000 of them, so yeah, it's the rarest mass produced vintage home computer I know of. (Sinclair made 80,000 ZX80s, just for comparison).

I got one by waiting ages for a decent one to turn up on ebay, and then placing the highest bid.
