Overview
The crew at skifilm.com have now completed their much anticipated 2006 film: "Mind The Gap". Filmed in high quality high definition video in Europe and the USA, "Mind The Gap" brings some of the biggest names in freeski to the screen in 45 minutes of rapid adrenalin action. Big names include Simon Dumont, Jon Olsson, Candide Thovex, Andreas Håtveit, Charles Gagnier, Peter Olenick and Sammy Carlson.

Freeski filming taken to a higher level
"Mind The Gap" shows freesking filming at it's highest level yet including the most spectacular follow-cam filming seen anywhere. With the feeling of gliding through the air, skifilm.net.capture Charles Gagnier as he does a huge 900 tail grab at Breckenridge while Candide lives up to his big air reputation doing an amazing fakie 630 to rail. Jon Olsson does his new kangaroo flip and Andreas Hatveit does a 270 on to an incredibly long 43 step street rail. JF Houle does an amazing 70m bio 9 mute while Grete Eliasson and Michelle Parker lay down for the girls and Sweden's 14 year old new comer Henrik Harlaut shows his emerging talent.

Andreas Håtveit , after last year's record high trick at June mountain, again provides a spectacular doing 900 on an incredible 35m gap from an 8m kicker while the camera crew follow him right across the 35m gap, up close, in one of the most amazing ski film shots ever seen.

  • lol this video is only a little out of date!

  • i always wonder if skis are strong enough to grind on rails and it seems so. I usually think they would've naturally snap in half. :/ i guess im wrong.

  • Bold Jon Olsson

    Blonde Simon Dumont...

    lol !

  • @J4testBunny every day i can, have a good season man

  • @J4testBunny yea im in college, so too broke to buy nice new shiney gear, ive got a pair of 193 rossi bandit xxx's for powder skis and a pair of 170 rossi's for groomers/bumps, cheap assed boots (shot) and 20 dollar aluminum poles, and i still shred with the best on the hill, gotta make do with what youve got

  • @J4testBunny gear whore much? lol jkjk, i ebayed a pair of uvex's, theyre not the most stylish goggle but theyve got damn good lenses, work in all conditions and all temp ranges, polarized with total uv protection

  • alpina-eyewear I got my self some polarized 4 years ago and they are realy awsome. They never have fog inside (however you call it). So you could buy old ones aswell. But buy polarized ones. They are in our basement right now so I cant give you the name of them. Just try never to touch the inside of new googles with your hands or anything. Just some realy soft cloth.

I bought myself 2 pairs of oakley googles this winther and they are even better.

  • @nintendofrk4 same here but i got respect for snowboarders instead :)

  • @ekoth23 They are paid to ruin their skis... so whats your problem?

  • I agree, Skies 300$ Gogles 50$ Helmet 80$ Jacket 250$ Trousers 100$, Gloves 40$, Boots 150$ just for the basics.....

970$ just for the basics... Than about 20$ for every day you do it + huge transport and hotel costs if you don´t live at a resort.
