I used to live just off the High Road in Leigham Court Road and now live by Streatham Common Station. It has its bad points but some mornings when I walk across the Common in the early morning sun it can be quite beautiful and the Rookery is always a treat, not to mention when the Common is covered in snow. I've lived in Streatham so long I can remember when Ceasars used to be The Cats Whiskers - now that's going back a few years. Nice video - do some more.
Brilliant - I live on Streatham High Road. This is a touching whimsical take on its good and bad sides. It feels like your watching an old silent movie - the way the tramp has to keep getting up is like something from Monsieur Hulot's Holiday. Tragic but sort of comical at the same time.
I was brought up in Streatham and this really brings back some memories. Mrs Wongs - god, I loved that place! I practically lived at Streatham Baths and the ice rink as a kid and and I was served my first underage drink at the Greyhound Pub. But it was dump then and its a dump now. I left 12 years ago and I've never been sorry. Had to go back for a funeral last year and it was nostalgic.....but not enough to make me want to go back.
I was born in Streatham.. I AM FROM STREATHAM :) I was Educated in Streatham, I went Cubs in Streatham, I became a DJ and producer in Streatham, I got arrested in Streatham, I lost my virginity in Streatham, I won & lost fights in Streatham., I left Streatham:) I get Nostalgia whenever I am there.. It has changed a lot but I love Streatham:)
Its always had bums, homeless people & prostitutes and always been multicultural .. for all of my 37 years.. clearly some dont know STREATHAM :)
