To save people looking through a 20 odd min video looking for turbulence I did a video with the turbulence only. When the turbulence was over I stopped filming but continued to record audio waiting for the captains comments as there was bound to be some. I included this in the 4 minute video towards the end.

Thanks for watching as always fellow YouTubers.

FAQ
Seat 18a
Christchurch to Melbourne - Pacific Blue is part of the Virgin Australia Group.
Flight was for business and although i got allocated a seat at the front I changed it for my regular 18a or 18f :-)

  • is 18a a good seat?

  • @bob63102 I prefer it for the wing view.

  • Nice vid mate, always great to see a turbulence video with actual visble turbulence, Cheers from Perth

  • @Toffa1985 Hi, thanks for the comment, I agree, so many times people have said bad turbulence and you can't see squat. Happy Australia Day! Melbourne.

  • :40 Did you mean to say "hear" instead of "here" ? or...should it be "Listen to the announcement....." ?

  • @troybrad I've added a speech bubble

  • @troybrad i did, top marks well spotted! But I can't change it now :-(

  • @omikeyz hi, thanks. The captain will never tell you on a scale how bad it was! lol yeah night time would seem worse and not a thing we can do. I think as kids we might like it more but adults we become more aware of potential danger whether it's real or not.

  • @omikeyz Have heard that flying over and to NZ can quite often be bumpy. My flight back from los angeles back in June was about as bumpy as this, difference being that the flight was at night, making it much more eerie cause we couldnt see anything outta the windows due to the entire 14hr flight being at night, and also because it went on for about 10hrs! I love flying but get nervous about turbulence, even though it poses no danger, i find watching videos like helps, thanks!

  • @AusAviation149 Thanks for taking the time to leave feedback. I wouldn't say the plane rolled as such but I don't think I have experience turbulence that bad for a very long time. Also at 2.56 ish you see a bit more aileron movement, not much but I don't know what the other wing was doing. Back to NZ Auckland boxing day so will see what happens then! Thanks again.
