After some preliminary testing, I've come to the conclusion that getting by the left side of the map is next to impossible because of a foolish camera angle which makes Kratos go 'round and 'round instead of where you need him to (not shown on the video). The right side is very hard to run by too, you know how running inside walls can get. Also, you can't activate the swimming glitch with the upper floor fountain. The game doesn't seem to count it as water...
You might be able to skip saving oracle by going outside the boundaries. However, my favorite untested thing to try out is this: if Kratos had the swimming glitch while spiraling up to the oracle, would the glitch stop malfunctioning after the game automatically moves Kratos's position? EDIT: Apparently it doesn't.

That fight can't be skipped because the place with the skull isn't loaded until you've fought him.
