  • This is awesome! I bought a macbook and I'm using my old laptop solely as a PVR with 'Beyond TV', but its crapping out hardcore. I looked into 'eyeTV' for mac but it's garbage compared to Beyond. You need to pay a yearly subscription for the TV Guide and It's only available in the states. I'm Canadian. :(

Do you know if you can use the firefly remote with a mac? I haven't found any drivers.

  • you may be able to in parallels (windows), for the mac OS, i highly doubt it. you may be able to use something like remotebuddy or some other app though.

  • OS TEN!!! not X as in xyz!

  • ok ok, its my first mac, gimme a break!!!! im learning.

  • at this point, running the most current beta, its rediculous. Its about 1 to 2 gb (HDD)! when parallels opens and closes, the mac comes to a complete halt, however when running, it seems to be fine. RAM wise, it doesnt take up THAT much (you can run it with 512mb in your mac i think). Its all about how you set your preferences (how much you want to allocate).

  • how much hard drive memory is taken up by parallels?
