Why put RARE on the title as it isn't RARE at all. Just trying to make yourself seem special, don't work with me.

"She's Got Medals" is a song written by David Bowie from his 1967 UK debut album entitled simply "David Bowie". It's in the vain of the British military ideal like The Beatles "Lovely Rita", this sort of quirky reverence for women in uniform. To add confusion, Bowie's second album released in 1969 is also entitled "David Bowie" in the UK, called "Man Of Words, Man Of Music" in the States. As of 1972 all releases were re-titled as "Space Oddity", the song that made him most known in the interim.

Not rare, but still brill.

Great song but it sounds like he borrowed the riff from fast version of "Hey Joe" by the Leaves/Byrds.

I first heard this on "London Boy", great album

0:53 "She went to join the army, passed the medical, don't ask me how it's done!" LOL That is TOO funny! The man is an evil genius in the music world, among other places.
