Heretical Book Burning 2 Part 1

**This practice is biblical, see Acts 19:19.***

Some friends of mine and I got together to have a good o'l fashioned book burning. This the second once. You can see the first one by clicking on this

The New American Bible - this book seemed to represent the epitome of one of the greatest plagues affecting mankind- counterfeit Catholicism. It was burned not necessarily because the translation was horrible, but because of the commentary was completely modernist - in some cases denying the reality of the miracles of Christ and the authorship of the apostles.. Beware of the NAB's commentary, although the translation could be better, the real culprit here is the commentary. - the commentary in this bible renders the bishop's stamp of approval on the inside cover into an embarrassing shame.

Our intention here is not to take these books out of circulation completely, we do not have the means not the authority to do such a thing. We are simply condemning these books on principle.

etc..... Good riddance!!! more room for orthodox books in our libraries now.

true it does say they burned scrolls (books). it taken out of context though. the ppl burning stuff in acts 19:19 were occultist that had repented and given their life to christ. it was an "act" to show their repentance for the sins they did. so my question is this, are you repenting anything here, or just burning books for fun? i see the point your trying to make. take one verse from the bible, take it out of context and use it to your liking. does this mean i can burn a KJB b/c i read the NIV?
