Its a good idea. It must be more sturdy, though. Attach the bottles stronger.
Any bending will reduce efficiency greatly.

It's a great idea..Although the design might need to be rethought a little bit for better results..Keep at it...Make better sails,If you think of all the free land going to grass,You could place about a hundred or so of these in a suitable area and have them feed their combined energy harvest into a single cable..Then you could use it to bolster your own electricity or even sell it back to the grid....Just sit back and watch all those babies generate some revenue...I wish you luck with it...

Find u a old treadmill and get the motor for your generator ,gear it and u got good cheap power source. The ones I work with do a great job and u can find old unwanted treadmills on craigs list for free.If geared right u will a volt for every mph wind if is very good even for a commercial built one,u can build one for little or no money ,good luck on your projects.

actually using two radiator fans in series and connecting blades might be the key. but great idea. Thank you for doing this. Why not use a wire cage on the outside of the blades.. and mount them on the wire cage.? Good try.!!!

@supergokue1 I'm really glad to hear that mate! Good luck with the continued experiments!
OK...so you put safety glasses on....then stand on the back of a truck holding a turbine above your head?
Safety first?

@vintageb3 I got smart and bought a motorcycle helmet. I also built a stand for the turbines to be tested in the back of the truck. Thanks for the question, Lonny

Hey, what you can try is to cut the bottles of there lenght in the middle and attach them on the side of the cooling fan.
You might get much more rpm out of the fan.
Only a idea
Good luck

Hey there
Nice idea
I saw on the website of gotwind a idea with the cooling fan of a car and a dynamo from a bike.
That seemed to be working pretty good.
Not sure if you saw it before.
Good luck man
Greetings
Erik
