Chinese sources mention Turks WAY earlier. The GokTurks ( Sky TURKS) where the first among the Turkic people to use it as a political name. It was already used to describe Turks but not in a national way. Xiongu has more of modern China and Russia/Siberia in it then Mongolia.

11th century manzikert happened we kicked byzantine but and mass invaded Anatolia with millions upon millions.

The first nomadic empire founded in present day Mongolia was Xiongnu, sometimes identified as a candidate for the locus of proto-Turkic. @3choBlaster Turks originally comes from the altai/mountains region is between Mongolai ,Russland ,Kasachstan and China ...The first they are writing about the Turks(Türüks or Gök Turks) was a chinese historian in 6th century . he speak about nomands in the altai montains ....in 11 ..12th century Turkish tribes immigrated to the todays Turkish territorium . The Yoruk Turks i know from Turkmenistan looks more like the oyghur people from China region !

@21parat The PKK is not the same as Kurds ... most Turkish Kurds are against PKK.

PKK doesn't want rights. PKK wants separation. They don't want to speak Kurdish. They want schools in the east to "ONLY" teach Kurdish, make Kurdish the official language of the east. That would mean within 20/30 years 1/5th of Turkey won't speak Turkish. Turkey would be like Belgium.

@21parat Further more, The Armenians are a very dark people .. black sea Turks and other races living in the black sea are very light skinned. Also speaking your mother tongue is completely legal in Turkey ..

Only Kurdish used to be banned because of the PKK, Kurdish has been legal for years now. There are Kurdish channels, and everyone speaks Kurdish freely. Kurdish musicians make Kuridhs music which airs on Kurdish and Turkish music channels etc.

Me= fair skinned (whiter than most Europeans) bright green eyes, black hair blond facial hair.

lil brother and sister= Tanned, light brown eyes, black hair

lillest sister= blond, blue eyes blond hair. (like 70% of my nieces and nephews)

We are 100% Yoruk Turks with Elite Sipahi ancestry, mixing with ANY other race is frowned upon, Look at China's Uyhgur Turks, they look like Turkish Turks with mixed Chinese characteristics.

@21parat and they have the right to have radio and tv in their own langauge ,because they are proud Turks and they fight for Turkey.

Here in Germany we have turkish press ,TV ,and in offices stand many in Turkish or other langauges from people they live there ,and they are immigrants . But in Turkey this people about we speak lived there bevor thousands of years .

And Not the numbers are importand .whether there are only 20 people or 20 milion people . Importand are the people

No one in Turkey except The Kurds, want a own State ,but all people want to speak their mother langauge like Bulgarska ,Pomakca ,Rumca ,Lazca ,Hemsin, Tscherkess ,Gürcü ,Arab ,Kurd ,Zaza ,Aramesh ,Bosnak ,Persish and other ...

30.000 Laz living i know only in Germany

what is with Gürcu (Chevneburi) people ,they are estimated from 100.000 to 1 milion.

I Have Turkish friends here of Laz and of Rum descent from trabzon and Rize , they all see them selfs as Turks ,they are proud of Turkish ,they are muslims (and its ok ) ,but they know they are of Greek or Gürcü descent .,
