From Federalsburg to Hurlock, From Hurlock To Williamsburg, From Williamsburg to Federalsburg.. It seems that the Maryland/Delaware are always busy!

You should watch these guys work... They work together - They communicate by radio and hand signals, as they take their time, making sure that each car is linked and secured before going to the next.

I had a chance to watch these guys for about 3 hours as they made each stop.

Also, Unlike most Engineers and Conductors, These guys take it easy at intersections. As you may have seen in a previous video (Hurlock)- a tractor trailer never even stopped at the crossing - he just hit the gas. If not for these guys and their cautious behavior at crossings - I'm sure the truck drive would have ended up like most do... Dead

Thank you Maryland Delaware for your safe and cautious traveling & thank you for allowing me the opportunity to share your trips with the rest of the world!

  • Awesome vid, thanks so much for sharing! How often would you guess a train goes over this crossing?

  • Every Monday/Wednesday/Friday (Usually) and Tuesday&Thursday when needed.... Twice per day running - approx. 8:15-9:00 a.m. and then again around 2:30-3:30 p.m.

  • awesome the video (thumb up!)

  • @ic6071 i live there so u dont see it much

  • Nice! Say, I live in columbia, MD and Iam going to become an engineer on the MDDE. Do you know if they have any locomotive engineer schools or training programs I can take?

  • this line, the MDDE has three lines, interchages with Ns and Seaford, De. The signals, idk

  • nice videos, was just wondering where do they interchange with NS?? and does this line have signalled territory??

  • That van was stupid that ran the crossing in the beginning of the video. If the lights are flashing, the road is closed, and you can't cross legally until the lights quit flashing.

  • cool crossing shot

  • Thanks!

  • no gates? its the first time i seen modern cantilevers without the gates they need some installed i think so its safer
