A Robotex soccer robot is an autonomous machine designed to find and deliver white golf balls to a goal at one end of a rectangular field. A typical soccer robot has a moving platform, a system for locating the balls on the field, a system for dealing with the balls -- holding on to them and sending them towards the goal, a system for locating the goal and a central computer and/or a controller for guiding all of these systems. As with any competition, robot or other, the contestant must meet a specified set of rules.
