@MoJo7Crow I don't think you quite understand. Assault and theft are crimes that need to be punished. He knew exactly what he was doing. He did it time and time again and with previous partners. It wasn't a matter of me wanting him to be something he was not, abuse is abuse and it is wrong to knowingly wrong to mistreat anyone. What, should I just have let him abuse me because he has NPD??

@tkathryyn I was being sarcastic. Not enough people know the difference between normal and not. I'm pointing out how tag-happy our society is. Turn on the news, and every murderer and rapist is a psychopath. Just like communism, people need an outlet for their fears and insecurities, so they pour them into whatever the media says is bad.

@blueguise23, so why do you stay with him? I see so many women exclusively chase after men exactly like your husband, and although they love to complain about being abused, they are unwilling to do anything to change their situation for the better because, in the end, they absolutely want to be with this type of man. If you have children, I can understand why you would stay with your husband. But if you do not, then the above criticism applies to you in full.

Wrong, they aren't sociopaths, you are getting mixed up with narcissists and sociopathic narcissists, narcissism is it's own dissorder. They are also not at all like a criminal, you need to get your examples more...accurate.

Im better than most of the people on this planet and thats a fact, but i am kind and do not take advantage of people, NPD on the other hand is a false sense of superiority.Being better and more powerfull than others is great but that doesnt mean you should hurt them for no reasons and abuse your greatness.

I just left a women who has BPD. I'm in a space where i don't kmow if I have or just beleive I have BPD. I'm seeing a psychcologist and he has told me I have post truamatic stress disorder. I hopein time I will heal from what I have lived through. I felt like I was loosing my grip on reality. I started to believe all those around me were the problem and where trying to distroy us. That was not the case. I aam not angry just hope she can see one day and heal herself. Thank you all for your posts.
