The steam drum is considered "the heart of the boiler" in a power plant. And when the steam drum is raised, it's a big deal. No work can be done on the front wall of the boiler before the steam drum is lifted. The steam drum weighs 240 tons. At Dry Fork Station, it was lifted 224 feet at about 23 feet an hour.
This time lapse shows 6.5 hours of the 11 hour lift. When this video stops, the steam drum is about 2/3 of the way to its top height.
