    this movie is soooo underrated!!! i watch it every year. the filmmaking is beautiful. I think it got trashed and was a failure during it's release because people didn't realize that it's actually an art film. the movie destroyed mcqueen financially as well as his marriage. this movie star literally suffered for his art!!! LOL

    This and "Bullitt" rocked my world. I was a toddler when McQueen was riding high, and now that I've rediscovered him, he blows me away.

    One of the best movies ever made, as far as I'm concerned. I don't think any other film except maybe Vanishing Point truly captures the bond between man and car as well as this one.
