Hear about the latest NIV translation and how the translation of the NIV & KJV had the same priorities for the translation of the original texts. The NIV established a tool to keep the translation accurate to the language of its day.
2011 niv is expensive toilet paper.

2011 niv is the corrupt tniv bible they published. They stop printing the tniv because people figured out it was a watered down politically correct pile of dog droppings. Now they place the niv cover on the tniv. Just because they think we are that stupid. SHAME on you CBT members and Zondervon. They had no intention of translating the bible when they started out. They intended to corrupt the word of God.

@pjamese3 Well that's old english compared to modern english. But in this case it's the translation from ancient hebrew and greek to english. Basically the point is that the english translations that you're used to reading are allegedly inaccurate.

What a bunch of bull!! According to this guy, people are too stupid to understand the older language of the Bible. So going by that standard, all of the Shakespear plays should be updated to modern English (picture The Situation and Snooki playing Romeo and Juliet.)
This is simple enough, Now even The Bible has fallen before the altar of Political Correctness.

what you people fail to realize is that these people need to get the bible 'right' because they watch the sales reports and realize what people want to hear. then they go back and fix the glitch...so I only have one problem with the bible...I dont collect the proceeds from it!!!!DAM!!!!

Well if god is so powerful why don't he get off his lazy bum and redo his bible for us. So we can be sure what that immoral tyrant actually meant.

maybe it's not my business what you people do with your books and translations and languages. Still isn't it true that the Isaiah 7:14 is translated in Greek by Matthew in his gospel (1:23) and the word he uses for "almah" is "παρθένος" which clearly means virgin/maiden? He could have used the word "κόρη" (lass) which would emphasize more on the young age but he didn't. I really wonder what is the meaning of this change. Oh, well...
