This is a Flight Simulator 2004 recreation of Air Canada Flight 143.

A brand new Boeing 767 ran out of fuel mid-way over Canada. What the pilots don't realise is that the airfield they're heading for is no longer an airfield...

Awesome video! Its very much like the real thing, but what actually happened was the the nose landing gear did'nt retract but i know that when you retract all the wheels on flight sim, all of them come out. Anyway, what airport is that? is it Gimli?

Luckily the pilot was a former glider pilot. Other pilots who tried it in simulators all crashed it.

So, I reckon all pilots should have some flying time in gliders. It can just be until 2 or 3 solo flights. Flying a glider is not the same as flying an airplane.
