Dress Rehearsal

This is my dress rehearsal for an upcoming student show. This is a my own original choreography. Constructive criticism is welcomed. I am sharing my passion with the world. Any negative comments will be deleted. Thank you. I also want to thank my instructor Hind for sharing her love of belly dance with me and being such a great inspiration and support during my journey into dance!

what style are you taking in class Is it turkish lebanese dont tell me Egyptian? I bet it is lebanese.... Am I right?

I am actually taking Egyptian cabaret style from a Lebanese instructor. So I am getting the best of both worlds.

That was very good! I really enjoyed watching your interpretation of the music. The only thing I would work on is the veil getting caught behind. Maybe work a little also on turns. Personally, I'm not good at turns, but I do know that if you pick a focal point it will help you to end up where you started instead of ending in another spot.

But overall, I really enjoyed it, good job! I'm not generally one to be constructive, but I know you would appreciate it. Best wishes.

I did a lot more practice on my veil work and you will be happy to know that my veil did not catch when I didn the final performance on August 9th. My instructor has the video from that but she is out of the country doing a workshops but when shee gets back. I am hoping to post that as well. I am still working on the turns, they are still giving me some trouble. Thank you for your comments.

First of all, good job on the choreography!

A few things could be more precise, like the kicks and shoulder shimmies (sometimes it was hard to tell whether you were doing a shoulder shimmy or not), but you had great hip accents! And I like your expression too, you really look like you are enjoying yourself. :)
