@sunnyztmoney if a bullet is flying at an upwards angle it will take a hat off, the bullet, reflects off of the clay (what it looks like) and flew up on to his scalp thrusting the hat upwards due to the force of the impact of the bullet.

Mythbusters tested if a bullet really could take a hat off of someone's head and it was proved it could not happen. Odds are, you had someone off camera shoot at the ground and another person have a thin string tied to the had and he jerked it off.
