@armedchalko There was only one monster. The HAMMERDOWN protocol which was NOT a nuclear strike, killed the creature, according to J.J. Abrams. The "It's still alive" thing isn't in effect anymore. This movie came out years ago. Cloverfield 2 will never happen. The monster is DEAD.

@jorrogboe The Camera was Burried under Debris when the nuke hit at the end, So they ended up retreiving it

There are two monsters, one was killed, the other wasnt and Rob confuses the two after the blast! Simple! Then, JJ Abrams didnt lie, but the text is true!

@sparkesthehedgehog JJ abrams is a fucking douchebag who thinks his shit is so original. LOST was obviously inspired by LAND OF THE LOST and cloverfield was taken from japanese folklore. he just creates hype for his next shitty and unoriginal film.

What is it? I declare ALIEN! But only because I'm a sci fi freak. Don't take my word. Don't worry, I'll have an excuse to call it an alien soon.

not a nuke one the emp and second the rubble would mostlikly crush the camera and third he camera would be obliterated and if i'm not mistaken theres a scene in he movie's end where the military pans across the city after they drop the bomb and there are some buuildings still standing.

@BVargas78 I think he just didn't want to spoil the hidden message.

Two biggest mind fuckers in the world: JJ Abrams and Christopher Nolan.
-
@sparkesthehedgehog maybe more than one monster?
-
@jorrogboe It probably wasn't a nuke. It would have been a bright flash, then depending on how far away it was would be the shockwave. And if you want to get technical, the EMP would have wiped the video from the camera. My guess is it was a MOAB - Air fuel bomb.
