Pyrotecnico Pittsburgh Fireworks July 4, 2009... part 3 of 3

First off to the Pittsburgh television that broadcast this fireworks display I will gladly remove the video at your request.

Zambelli fireworks and Pyrotecnico Fireworks are two display fireworks giants located in New Castle Pennsylvania. New Castle is located near the town of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. For decades the city of Pittsburgh July 4th fireworks were done by Zambelli Fireworks. This year 2009, the display was done by Pyrotecnico. I am posting it here for others outside of Pittsburgh to enjoy. I guess we will have to wait to see who does the display next year. As far as I am concerned I dont care who is shooting fireworks I enjoy watching them. While I work part time for Zambelli I certainly have respect for Pyrotecnico and wanted to add this display to my channel.
Now I expect everyone to be respectful with their comments.

This year, ISM-USA, which runs the Regatta, has changed the fireworks show. Although the Regatta has used the fireworks company Zambelli Fireworks International, of New Castle, Lawrence County, for last two decades, officials will be using a new company, Pyrotecnico, also of New Castle, said ISM-USA Senior Vice President Michael Dongilli.
Mr. Dongilli said they wanted to try something "different" this year to "elevate the showmanship."
Zambelli Fireworks International President Doug Taylor said he was "disappointed" by the Regatta's decision to not use his company.
"We were surprised because we had done it for so many years and we had done it vey well for so many years," he added. "We are determined to be back shooting with them" next year.
Mr. Dongilli said the Regatta is simply trying out the company this year and will re-evaluate the situation for next year's event.
Pyrotechnico did not immediately respond to a request for comment this afternoon. But during a press conference earlier in the day, Pyrotecnico officials said their show will last 25 minutes and will feature 22,000 fireworks devices.

Amazing, they need to stay with Pyrotecnico !! On a sad note, the company I work for, Melrose Pyro..lost 4 techs in an accident while they were unloading their truck at a show on the North Carlina coast, Saturday.

It is a sad unfortunate thing at Melrose, I am sorry for their loss. There was one death at Zambelli. Without starting a big discussion, does Melrose ship shells to the shoot site with electric match already in them? Or do the technicians do that on site?

Same finale and song they used to win the Montreal competition in 2008. Doesn't have the same "wow" factor after you've seen it a few times, but it is an amazing job! Feel bad for Zambelli, why did the city choose Pyrotecnico? Couldn't have been cheaper...if anything it was double the price by the looks of it. The best choreography is one you never see twice, they seem to shoot the same shows over and over.

Well after a show like this, i think Pyrotechnico sealed it with Pittsburgh to come back again next year. Looks like their Gold Jupiter award really helped with their business this year!

man this is the coolest fireworks display i ever saw now that was awesome and in georgia we dont have that much finale oh and the grand finale was awesome.

I think the guys did a spectacular job in the city this year. I just wish I could have made it downtown to see it. Thanks for posting Dave.
